CASH..use it or lose it.

Post by alisonfletch »

"Cash is increasingly being refused or declined in spite of customer needs for no good reason and must be challenged.
Cash for spending within stores and businesses gives you digital privacy, and also helps you to keep track of what you spend more easily. Cash also helps to protect the most vulnerable in our society and makes budgeting easier.
Access to cash also is very important. Members are encouraged to keep an eye on local cash machines, reporting missing ones and complaining or sending letters to associated companies accordingly.
Take part in the campaign by downloading and printing the double sided Keep Cash leaflet here: www.patreon.com/posts/keep-cash-hq-66461478".

What YOU Can Do to Help Keep Cash!

"Hi everyone, I hope you are doing well.

Pull Cash out every week for a whole week's budgeting. This makes saving much easier and less likely to go over budget. Use the cash when you can. I notice that I spend a lot less with cash, because it doesn't feel good to let go of it and see the wedge get smaller! Corporations know this and its easier to part with numbers via a card.. so it is one more reason they want to see the end of cash.

Whenever a social interaction arises and a friend or family member goes to pay, remind them why cash is great. Make sure you don't do this too much to the same person!

If a shop or any other high street business does not take cash, if they are a small business you could mention it to the manager, but if they are a large chain or brand this would have to be made as a complaint to an executive. You can usually find the details online if you dig around a little. The more people doing this the better however be sure to be polite!

Keep an eye on local cash points too. If one disappears (or they cut the numbers down) be sure to report it or lodge a complaint. It all adds up.

There are Keep Cash fliers on this site, which can be printed and distributed. Feel free to share the images online or even the links. These posts are 'unlocked' and free to anyone as they should be. When I can, I get a large batch printed and then go out with these. The high street of a town is the best place to do it for maximum impact with lowest cost. Better still, the shop keepers put them up and everyone sees them.

A) - High Quality Double sided version. This one is best if you are getting them done at a professional printers. They look best in A5. Side one has the six great reasons, and side two has the cash welcome please come in side. Shop keepers love to put these up as it brings in customers. - www.patreon.com/posts/66461478

B) - Low Ink home print version. This is for anyone who just wants to 'bang a few out' on their home printer. They can be printed A4 and put just about anywhere - www.patreon.com/posts/66462376

Take part in the groups! There is a lot of fun to be had, lots of banter and discussion about how people are getting on out there. Get the 'heads up' on any shops or businesses who are not taking the cash, and those who do love it.
